In support of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, Batterjee Medical College and the British Council have entered into a cooperative agreement to accredit the college as a testing center for the IELTS exam and to provide English language courses.
The partnership was signed at BMC’s Jeddah campus in the presence of Dr. Osama Kansara, CEO and general supervisor of BMC; Dr. Tariq Al-Harbi, dean of BMC in Asir; Ghazi Al-Nusairi, chief operating officer; Ahmed Abu Alafia, consultant strategy, business development; and Ghaida Wali, public relations officer.
In attendance from the British Council were Grant Butler, director of English language services at the British Council; Adnan Khawaja, head of commercial for English language services in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain; Abdul Rahman Jumeh, account relationship manager, and Muhammad Shaiju, account relationship manager.
BMC’s agreement with the British Council comes as a step to develop international language skills and explore ways for future cooperation with universities and experts from the UK.
Batterjee Medical College is one of the largest and first private medical colleges in Saudi Arabia that offer a variety of specializations in healthcare.
The British Council is the UK’s cultural relations organization, which aims to create opportunities for people globally to connect and engage with each other through arts, education, and the English language.
