Saudia Cargo participates in Saudi-Chinese Business Forum

Saudia Cargo, a subsidiary of the Saudia Group, participated in the Saudi-Chinese Business Forum 2025 as the official logistics provider. The forum was held in Beijing from May 13-14. This participation aligns with the company’s continued expansion in the Chinese market and its commitment to supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The forum, held under the patronage of Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, aimed to strengthen economic cooperation between the Kingdom and China, increase Saudi exports to the Chinese market, and explore investment opportunities in infrastructure projects.

Hashim Alsharif, vice president of strategy and business development at Saudia Cargo, underscored the company’s pivotal role in facilitating national exports and bridging Saudi producers with global consumers in alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. He also highlighted the provision of integrated and effective logistics solutions, bolstering trade between Saudi Arabia and China. He described the forum as “a crucial platform for unlocking new avenues of trade expansion.”

Alsharif said that Saudia Cargo was invited by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture as an official sponsor of the forum. The company was allocated an independent pavilion within the National Livestock and Fisheries Development Program, where it showcased a range of its logistics services, primarily cold chain solutions and e-commerce solutions designed to serve the agriculture and seafood sectors.

Last April, the company announced the signing of two MoUs to build strategic partnerships with major Chinese companies and open new channels for trade cooperation in the fields of transportation and logistics. The first MoU was with China Cargo Airlines to improve export operations and develop operational connectivity to capitalize on the growing trade movement between the two countries.

The second MoU was with China Henan Aviation Group to develop and invest in aviation, creating an air logistics bridge connecting Asia-Pacific with the Middle East, Europe, and Africa through the Zhengzhou and Riyadh hubs.

Blacklane, a global chauffeur service, and Lucid Group, maker of advanced electric vehicles, have announced a strategic partnership to expand sustainable, premium transportation solutions across Saudi Arabia.

Through this collaboration, Lucid’s vehicle lineup will be integrated into Blacklane’s chauffeur service platform across the Kingdom. The partnership will support Blacklane on its trajectory to double operations in the region by the end of 2025, including significantly expanding services in key cities like Riyadh and Jeddah.

The agreement represents Blacklane’s most ambitious initiative to date, aimed at expanding a robust network of electric vehicle options within the region’s mobility sector, and furthers Lucid’s ongoing efforts to provide more opportunities to experience its advanced electric vehicles in the region. To further support this effort, Lucid and Blacklane will also work together to support the rollout of EV charging infrastructure in the region.

Bupa CareConnect, the healthcare delivery arm of Bupa Arabia, announced the signing of four strategic partnership agreements with global health tech companies, namely GOQii, Comarch, Nuralogix, and We Healthify. These partnerships will expand the scope of digital services and enhance the quality of healthcare for members within the Kingdom.

The announcement came during Bupa CareConnect’s participation as a gold sponsor at the 6th MENA Telehealth and Virtual Care Expo 2025, held recently in Riyadh. The three days of Saudi Light and Sound Expo 2025 reinforced the event’s position as a central platform for advancing Saudi Arabia’s professional lighting, sound, and AV technology sector. With broad international participation and a focus on actionable business outcomes, SLS Expo continues to support the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals by accelerating infrastructure development and building strategic industry capabilities.

Riyad Bank and Mastercard have collaborated to provide small and medium-sized businesses in Saudi Arabia with enhanced access to funding. The two entities have introduced a unique credit card program offering micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises access to financial solutions to grow and thrive.

As part of the agreement, Riyad Bank will enable MSMEs across the Kingdom with a three-tier credit program providing greater choice and flexibility in the form of unique cards: the Mastercard NMOO Business Credit Card, Mastercard NMOO Executive Credit Card, and Mastercard NMOO World Credit Card.

Each of these unique products will offer flexible limits, supporting enterprises and entrepreneurs to take greater control of their futures.
