RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi, in Riyadh on Monday and reviewed relations between their countries, as well as regional developments.
They discussed ways to strengthen ties in various fields, in line with the directives from the leaderships of both countries, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The ministers also addressed the latest developments in the region, and underlined the solidarity between Saudi Arabia and Jordan in efforts to confront Iranian aggression against them and other Arab states.
They described such actions as a violations of international law and the principles of good neighborliness, and stressed their support for measures aimed at safeguarding the sovereignty and security of states in accordance with international laws and conventions.
Their talks also covered the latest developments in Syria and Palestine. Both sides emphasized the need to halt Israeli violations, ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, and support efforts to enhance security and stability while reducing regional tensions.
