RIYADH: India’s Ambassador to the Kingdom Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan visited the Eastern Province on April 12 and held interactive sessions with the community.
The ambassador interacted with a large gathering of the Indian community in Jubail, assured them of his full support, and addressed their concerns, the Indian Embassy said in a press release on Tuesday.
The ambassador then visited Dammam on Monday and held an interactive session with the Indian community at an event organized by the Indian Overseas Forum.
Representatives of various community organizations, members of the Indian business community, and community volunteers attended the interaction.
In his remarks, Khan expressed sincere appreciation to the Indian community for the remarkable composure and resilience demonstrated throughout the current situation in the Gulf region.
The ambassador emphasized that India has always stood firmly with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of its security, stabilty and sovereignty.
He underscored the importance of following the Embassy advisories issued from time to time.
The ambassador highlighted measures undertaken by the Embassy to ensure the welfare of the Indian community, particularly in the Eastern Province.
A 24-hour helpline has remained operational in the Embassy to ensure accessibility at all times. Consular services have been delivered efficiently without disruption in the region.
The community outreach by the ambassador in the current situation has significance, offering a meaningful opportunity to share and discuss community-related matters.
