RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s aid agency KSrelief has implemented its Noor program to combat blindness and eye diseases in Yaounde, Cameroon.
During the week-long campaign, its volunteer medical team examined 4,679 beneficiaries, distributed 926 eyeglasses, and performed 448 surgeries, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.
KSrelief also provided 25,000 hot meals for vulnerable families in central and southern Gaza, and distributed 1,422 food baskets in Deir Al-Balah and Al-Qarara in Khan Younis, benefiting 22,296 people affected by Israel’s war.
Many beneficiaries thanked Saudi Arabia, saying KSrelief’s support has helped ease their hardship and meet essential needs.
In Yemen, KSrelief distributed 326 food baskets to families of deceased breadwinners in Aden governorate, benefiting 1,141 people.
In Afghanistan’s Panjshir province, it distributed 294 food baskets to returnees, displaced persons, orphans, and those in need, benefiting 1,764 people.
In Sudan’s Al-Jazirah state, KSrelief distributed 1,000 cartons of dates to 4,327 people amid the humanitarian crisis.
