Al-Tayyar Travel Group Holding signed a partnership agreement with the Aegean Airlines to become an exclusive sales agency for the Greek airlines in Saudi Arabia.

The signing was done during a ceremony held on April 1, in Riyadh, where the partnership contract was signed by Al-Tayyar Travel Group Holding CEO Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Dawood and Aegean Airlines International Sales Manager Yiannis Pantazopoulos.

Deputy Chairman of the Board of Director and MD Nasser Al-Tayyar said the celebrations included discussions with the airline officials to review opportunities for collaboration between the two parties to strengthen their communication and consultancy services.

Al-Tayyar added: “Our meeting with Aegean Airlines officials marks the opening of a new point for operations within the region and launching of flights from the Kingdom to multiple new destinations in the world.”

He acknowledged and commended the industry leadership of Aegean Airlines in Europe as it drives the largest airlines network in the European region, operating several daily flights to cities in Europe and across the world.

It is a significant link between Saudi and European cities and the Middle East as well as other global travel destinations.

Al-Tayyar added: “We are pleased to enter into this partnership with Aegean Airlines, which is a member of the international organization Star Alliance and was awarded the Best Regional Airline in 2014. ATG’s selection as an exclusive sales agent partner is complemented as ATG is the best travel and tourism group in the Gulf and the rest of the Middle East.”

Aegean Airlines operates scheduled and charter services from Athens and Thessaloniki to 87 international destinations, including 32 European countries and 33 domestic destinations with eight Greek bases. In 2015, the airline will add 17 new international destinations.
