Eyeing to raise pilgrims health awareness and in cooperation with the Coordination Council of Local Haj Operators, which will supervise the booklet distribution, Tawuniya Insurance Company has issued copies of the booklet titled 2016 Haj Tips that includes health guidelines for pilgrims and their safety during the pilgrimage.
The initiative aims to assist pilgrims perform their rituals in safety and security. The booklet is published in both Arabic and English and contains key information to urge pilgrims interact with awareness activities carried out by government departments in order to attain a successful pilgrimage season and ensure comfortable, secure and stable performance of the Haj rituals.
Majed Al-Bahiti, marketing GM, Tawuniya, said: “Serving pilgrims is a sublime honor that we all seek. This is our national commitment and religious responsibility and backed by our keenness to contribute during the pilgrimage season through the distribution of Haj Tips booklets in collaboration with the Coordination Council of Local Haj Operators who facilitate the booklet distribution process to pilgrims.”
Al-Bahiti added: "The booklet has an exemplary design and is handy, and its chapters go according to the Haj tasks and ritual timings. In addition to the health guidelines, it also includes a directory of health centers, emergency numbers, and health facilities in Makkah and Madinah."
Jamal bin Yousef Shaqdar, secretary general of the Coordination Council for Domestic Haj Service Firms, lauded the Tawuniya initiative, adding that the council will distribute booklets to local pilgrims at 290 camps.
"It is our responsibility to provide safety and comfort to pilgrims coming from all over the world and the work of Tawuniya company reflects their commitment and passion to the Saudi society," Shaqdar added.
The Coordination Council of Local Haj Operators is the supervising department to serve local pilgrims, featuring 200 companies and hosts about 190,000 pilgrims, this year.
