RIYADH: Two housemaids and a driver, all expatriates, have been arrested here for allegedly stealing cash amounting to 50,000 euros and SR60,000 from the residence of a Saudi citizen.

The driver has been identified as an Ethiopian national but the nationalities of the maids were not provided. The security officers made the arrests following a complaint by a citizen last week.

Investigations revealed the driver, who was living in the Kingdom illegally, helped the housemaids escape with the booty soon after the theft.

To track down the suspects, the security officers coordinated with the Ministry of Labor and Public Security.
