Two hundred companies have offered jobs to Indian workers who want to avail themselves of the concessions announced by the Saudi authorities, according to a press statement from the Indian Embassy in Riyadh.
It said that a meeting of representatives of these companies will be held at the embassy premises at Diplomatic Quarters in Riyadh today.
“The embassy appreciates the offers of these companies to recruit Indian workers,” the statement said, urging more Indian workers to make use of these offers.
It said the embassy continues to receive requests from several major Indian and Saudi companies offering jobs to Indian workers who are eligible to take advantage of the concessions announced by the Saudi authorities to correct their legal status during the grace period that ends on July 3. It said that those wanting to avail themselves of tanazul facilities may contact the companies that have approached the embassy and seek new employment. An updated list of 200 companies that approached the embassy is available on its website www.indianembassy.org.sa.
It clarified that this would remain a purely contractual transaction between the employer and the employee with the embassy acting only as a facilitator. It said that those changing their employer should make sure that they enter into proper employment contract with their employers.
Those wishing to obtain new passports for visa transfer (tanazul) facility can submit applications for such passports at the Riyadh VFS offices outsourcing centers at Umm Al-Hammam and Batha in Riyadh and such passports will be issued on priority basis in three working days.
The outsourcing centers will operate on Thursdays and Fridays till July 3, 2013 for Tanazul passport work. However, they can initiate the process of Tanazul based on the copy of their passports.
