A team of Ministry of Health officials recently discovered 3,000 bottles of fake Zamzam water ready for sale during the month of Ramadan in the Al-Aziziah district of Makkah.

The team was out carrying work to tackle dengue fever when it discovered the water at a concealed storage facility.

Fawaz Al-Sheikh, spokesman for Health Affairs in Makkah, said the team was out on a field trip educating members of the public about dengue fever when it discovered the water. The team then notified the city authorities and the health affairs department.
