Two hundred Civil Defense officials will participate in an advanced training program at the British Fire Extinguishing Service College. A batch of 100 officers will participate in the first program lasting three-months beginning tomorrow.

Minister of Interior and chairman of the Council of Civil Defense Prince Muhammad bin Naif approved the participation.

Director General of Civil Defense Lt. Gen. Saad Al-Tuwaijeri said the participation of the officers would make them more skilled in protecting the people and properties against calamities and accidents.

“Thousands of officers are annually passing out from the various civil defense training institutes in the Kingdom, in addition to hundreds of officers going on foreign scholarship programs to study in various specializations. They help to develop and modernize the Civil Defense apparatus,” Al-Tuwaijeri said.

He added that the Field Center Command Training Program in the British college is in line with bilateral agreements with a number of advanced countries.
