Jeddah: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at his Palace in Jeddah on Monday afternoon.

The cabinet was briefed on the reports of the repercussions of the events taking place in the region as well as the international contacts, consultations and discussions thereon, especially the widespread violations of human rights in Syria and continuation of massacres and the use of the military machine against the Syrian people. The Cabinet reiterated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's firm stances towards those events.

The Cabinet called upon the Islamic nation to stand against this illegitimate regime and against supplying it with weapons, munitions and individuals so that it would not be able to continue its aggression against the Syrian people.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques also stressed his keenness on the security and stability of the country and people and ensuring the development which covers all sectors and raising the level of the Saudi people to meet the challenges of the era. The King warned against the adventures committed by some countries and against interference in the internal affairs of others which leads to more tension and instability.

The Cabinet expressed the Kingdom's appreciation of the efforts exerted by the Human Rights Council to strengthen international cooperation among States in the field of human rights, lauding the decisions adopted at the end of the 23rd session held in Geneva.

The Cabinet was briefed on the report of the projects in the Two Holy Mosques, including the expansion of the area around Ka'aba (Mataaf)) and the holy sites within the framework of the legitimate and jurisprudential laws for the rituals due to the increasing number of pilgrims which requires providing maximum comfort and safety for the pilgrims.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques directed to redouble efforts to join all capabilities to complete these projects as soon as possible.

Dr. Khoja said the Cabinet continued discussion of its agenda and issued the following decisions:

The Cabinet authorized the Minister of Finance - or his deputy - to sign a draft agreement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion concerning taxes on income and capital and the annexed draft protocol. The Cabinet approved the final account of the Human Resources Development Fund for the fiscal year 1432/1433H.

The Cabinet approved a model of cooperation framework agreement in the field of peaceful uses of the nuclear energy between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the governments of the neighboring countries.

The Cabinet approved that the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy is to discuss with similar insinuations in neighboring countries wishing to contract agreement referred to in first provision above.

The Cabinet approved appointments as follows:

1- Mohamed bin Suleiman Al-Rebdi is appointed to the post of administrative advisor (rank 15) at the Ministry of Interior.

2- Omar bin Mohammed Al-Turki is appointed to the post of administrative advisor (rank 15) at the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology.

3- Braik bin Abdullah Al-Qarni is appointed to the post of director general of the administrative development (rank 14) at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs.

The Cabinet also discussed a number of topics on its agenda, including two annual reports of the Saudi Arabian Airlines for the financial years 1429/1430H - 1430/1431H.

The Cabinet directed that the Saudi Arabian Airlines is to continue increasing internal flights to all the Kingdom's airports and increasing the number of seats. The Cabinet also stressed that the institution is to work developing technical and service competencies for the travelers as well as providing distinguished and variable services for gaining of the customer's satisfaction.

4- Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Suraikh is appointed to the post of director general of Riyadh's branch (rank 14) at Department of Zakat and Income.
