JEDDAH: The Labor Ministry has called on customers to report on irregularities related to feminization at women’s shops in shopping centers and malls.

“They can call 19911 or log on to http://rasd.ma3an.gov.sa,” said the ministry. The ministry said employment of male workers in jobs allocated for Saudi female workers would result in harsh penalties.

The ministry affirmed that it would continue planned and secret inspections of all shops and firms to detect violations and punish offenders.

The ministry has assigned male and female inspectors to carry out inspection visits to shopping malls and commercial centers across the Kingdom with the intent of streamlining work for women in private sector firms.

The ministry said the women shops cover stores selling lingerie, cosmetics, ready-made dresses, abayas, accessories, and maternal care goods.

“All shops meant for women must be furnished with women-only toilets, rest houses and security,” it said.
