JEDDAH: Two members of a Ministry of Health ambulance crew, including a doctor, were killed when their vehicle overturned along a highway in Madinah region on Tuesday, an online site reported.

The driver also died and a nurse suffered injuries, 3alyoum.com said, quoting Khaled Al-Sahli, spokesman for the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Madinah.

The spokesman said the Red Crescent received a call at about 5:35 a.m. Tuesday about the accident near a bridge toward Al Huso. Responding rescuers found the ambulance upside down. It was not clear from the report if the two fatalities died on the spot.
