King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah will employ 300 to 500 Saudi women in the departments of passenger services and services for people with special needs over the next few months.

This step is in line with the airport strategy, and the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) to invest in the national youth workforce of the country, said Abdul Hamid Aba Al-Auri, director general of KAIA.

Aba Al-Auri said their work would be dedicated to families only and female employees would be tasked with passenger services, ticket services, boarding cards and the service of people with special needs.

The available jobs for women will be posted on the website of the airport.

Conditions of employment of the female candidates will include their commitment to Islamic law, wearing a hijab (head scarf) and the necessary qualifications for the job. The applicants will receive training before they assume their tasks.
