RIYADH: The Saudi National Campaign (SNC) provided bread to displaced Syrians through its office in Turkey recently, targeting Idlib and Aleppo, and neighboring camps.

Khaled Al-Salama, director of the campaign, said SNC’s mobile bakeries have tried to reach as many Syrian families as possible to help extinguish hunger among them.

“The displaced Syrians were extremely happy over the bread provided by the Saudi National Campaign. They expressed hope that the Saudi leadership won’t stop in extending help to them,” he said.

Al-Salama said the Syrian families thanked the generosity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, as well as the Saudi people.

He noted that the mobile bakery project has been successful as it has a significant impact in providing bread to displaced Syrian families.

Dr. Badr bin Abdul Rahman Al-Samhan, SNC regional director, said that the Saudi campaign has intensified efforts to increase production.

The SNC campaign to provide bread has been going on for five years, in addition to other support such as providing winter clothes.

Recently, the SNC provided 5,570 items of winter clothing and relief material to 314 Syrian families in Mafraq Governorate in Jordan as part of the 21st station of its relief project (My Brother, Your Warmth, My Goal).

The SNC campaign has worked through its office in Jordan on the implementation of this station which provided diverse winter clothes to 1,752 Syrian individuals.

Al-Samhan said that the campaign had made “a quantum leap by multiple relief projects to support and provide Syrian refugees with thousands of pieces of various winter clothes, whether refugees in Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon, or refugees in displaced area inside Syria.”
