The Saudi Ministry of Health has decided to deport a number of Syrian doctors for actively supporting the Assad regime, Al-Watan newspaper reported.

The doctors are from at least four of the Kingdom’s cities. Sources said that the decision to deport the health professionals was taken to put an end to individuals supporting the regime from within Saudi Arabia.

The Syrian doctors reportedly collected donations for the “revolution” and would pass on the names of Syrians in the Kingdom who are opposing the Assad regime, the sources said.

The sources confirmed that the deportees include female doctors.

Meanwhile, a Health Affairs Department source in the north of the Kingdom said that the decision to deport the doctors was due to them exploiting their presence in the Kingdom for political purposes and violating the labor contracts that they had signed.
