The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), has condemned a bomb attack on mosque in Nigeria on Tuesday, which killed 25 people.

The attack is believed to have been carried out by two female suicide bombers during dawn prayers in Umurari Molai area in Maiduguri, capital of Borno State in the northeast of the country.

The OIC Secretary General Iyad Amin Madani has expressed deep sorrow and conveyed his sincere condolence to the families of the victims, as well as the people and government of Nigeria

The Secretary General restated OIC’s commitment to continue its support for the effort of the Nigerian government in its renewed campaign to defeat terrorism, appealing to the authorities to tighten security around places of worship.
