The Civil Aviation Authority announced that 2.06 million Umrah pilgrims have arrived at King Abdul Aziz International Airport, through 11,614 flights since the beginning of this Umrah season through the first week of Ramadan.

The number of passengers departed during the same period amounted to 2.271 million pilgrims through 12,035 flights.

The Authority said the airport administration is following the plans in place, in coordination with government agencies inside the airport.

The first phase of the plans ended in June and included the standard operational mechanisms. The second phase, which ended before Ramadan, was completed as well. The third phase will last until the end of the holy month and the first days of Eid.

Preparations of the plans included the services introduced by airliners to passengers, people with special needs in particular, and the buses to commute them.
