Prominent Pakistani businessman Muhammad Asghar Qureshi was unanimously elected as the new President of Pakistan Investors Forum (PIF) in Riyadh on Thursday.

A well-known member of the Pakistani community in the Kingdom, Qureshi is also an executive member of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) and chief coordinator of Pakistan People’s Party in Saudi Arabia as well.

Qureshi, a philanthropist and dynamic social worker, is the chairman of Qureshi Group of Companies based in Riyadh. 

Pakistan Investors Forum is an association of Pakistani businessmen and investors who are operating in the Kingdom under the aegis of SAGIA (Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority) and the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

It has a total of about 50 registered members.

The outgoing President of PIF Tariq Soomro thanked the PIF members and the community in general for their continuous cooperation. He requested the members to continue working together in the same spirit of cooperation in the coming years for the forum to forge ahead. 

Qureshi pledged to the members that he would take the PIF to new heights with the members’ cooperation.

The other members of the forum include, Patron, Ambassador of Pakistan Muhammad Naeem Khan; Honorary Chairman, Choudhry Khalid Mahmood; General Secretary, Khalid Raja; and Finance Secretary of PIF, Choudhry Bashir Ahmed.
