Cristal Global added to its previous collection of three straight Team of the Week awards with a sparkling performance during the 12th session in the FTBJ-ICBL 30th Conference bowling tournament at Jeddah Lanes in Mossadia Plaza here.

In winning its fourth diadem, the most of any team in this Friday afternoon five-man team league event, Cristal Global posted the highest total thus far of 49.5 points.

Lost in the glare of Cristal Global’s massive show of firepower was the battle for supremacy between co-leaders Al Zamil Metal and Jeddah Lanes, which swung heavily in favor of Al Zamil at the end of the day’s session.

Zamil compiled 33.5 points while the host bowlers were left behind on 20.

Saudi Diyar Consultants were the only other team to top the 40 points mark on 41 with Hidada Ltd. on 39.5. Avengers came through with 34 points.

D’ Barkads were sixth on the day after compiling 29 points. The previous week honoree, Akiera Sato Bowlers, were tied with Kulisap ni Moe on 27 points followed by Pin Slashers 26.

Sky Freight-TFC could only make 17 points and as a result allowed Cristal to bump it off at third place in the team standings. Al Watan Décor and Yanbu Sniper brought up the rear on 16.5 and 4 points.

It was a Cristal double after Zaldy Bacero won the men’s Bowler of the Week plum on 663, while Susan Patayan clinched the same award on the distaff side to give Diyar some consolation after another missed attempt at the Team of the Week honors. Patayan rolled 590 on lines of 190, 172 and 180.

Team manager Danny Pamintuan supported Bacero with a 596 for Cristal which missed the perfect 52 by a few points as it won the third and overall output and shared the first place with Hidada in Game 2.

Gail Mata and Alma Bacero contributed 578 and 551 from the distaff side, while Cesar Monares added 179-196 and Pancho Cuevas 214-193.

Over at Diyar, Raul delos Reyes and Patima Jintarat backed up Susan with 601 and 541. Nap Patayan tallied 177-180 while Edwin Ronquillo and Nestor Casalma had 171-190 and 162-193.

The duo of Amro Al Amri and Nanding Siasoco wielded the big stick for Hidada on 608 and 607 to go with the 587 by Grace Siasoco, 529 by Pinky Acato, 199 by Romy Bunagan and 146-156 by Johny Cantara.

Avengers built their total mainly on the contributions of Fred Monson 610, Tess Marasigan 549 and Myrna Diaz 515 with help from Gerry Tano 184-222, Paul Antiporda 170-226 and Sammy Ocampo 159-188.

In separating from Jeddah Lanes, Al Zamil drew solid rounds of 606 from Randy Mata 543 from Merlen Pamintuan, and 518 from Ester Jalata as well as 192-195 from Victor Pagayon, 163-180 from Abdul Rauf and 193-211 from Ladio Gonzales.
