JEDDAH: FedEx completed an amazing 10 games title sweep, capping its run in the Inter-Company Bonafide Division by beating Halwani Team recently in Game 2 of their best-of-three championship series to bring down the curtain on the OFBL Season 8 Evening Conference at the Saudi Champions Academy indoor court on Television Street on the outskirts of Jeddah.
Dorado from the champion team FedEx, managed by Noel Sun, was named the Most Valuable Player. Halwani settled for first runner-up, Le Mall-Alshaya of Erwin Carpena was the second runner-up.
Repapipz of Jon Azupardo was forced to a deciding third game of their championship series with Jeddah Lions but then managed to do the job, using a tight defense in the last quarter to pull off the victory that gave them the Inter-Company Reinforced crown. Sipat of Repapipz won the MVP award.
The awarding cereremony followed the final games. The Season 9 Evening Conference is set to start Aug. 26, with two categories namely Inter-Company Bonafide Non-rated and Inter0Company Reinforced Non-rated.
