IYWA Football Academy celebrated its first anniversary with the successful conduction of year long football coaching camp for boys in the age group between 8-16 years.

According to the IYWA Football Academy co-ordinator and General secretary of IYWA, Mir Gazanfar Ali Zaki, around 80 boys took part in the camp which has been a tremendous success and results can be gauged by the selection of the boys in their respective school teams.

The football coaching camp not only encouraged teenagers to come out of the indoor shell of gadgets and devices and engage them in outdoor sports activity to develop their physical fitness but also generated interest in their parents who wake up early on off days and bring their kids to the ground to enjoy watching them play.

Consul (Community welfare) Consulate General of India S.R.H. Fahmi, who was the chief guest on the occasion exhorted the children to gain maximum benefit from the free coaching camp and try to achieve excellence and earn recognition for their school, state and country. He was impressed to see players of different religions from all over India. He urged the community members to come up with more such programs for the welfare of the Indian community irrespective of caste, creed, religion and region.

Mir Gazanfar Ali Zaki said, that the coaching camp session aims to develop the skills of boys through scientific training methods under the guidance of Indian national football trainers and supervision by senior national and state level players like Mohammed Jaweed (Chief Coach), Jyothi Kumar and Mir Fazal Ali. The camp was managed by Anwar ul Haq (In charge) and Farooq Ahmed.

He said the coaching academy has divisions into specific age groups senior, junior and sub-junior and trained accordingly, which includes fun-based learning for younger children and an intense training for older children. The coaching camp will concentrate on skill, endurance and fitness sessions with constant monitoring of every child enrolled.

Earlier, President of IYWA, S.P. Singh welcomed the gathering and expressed gratitude to the participating children and their parents for their keen interest and enthusiasm.
