Shabab SABB team mentored by Ahmed Al Qarquosh clinched a Team of the Week and Bowler of the Week double with the lead to boot during the fifth session in the Interbank Tenpin Bowling League 2013 Conference at the InterContinental Hotel Bowling Center here.

The battle of defending and former champions, Shabab SABB and Saudi Hollandi Bank, ended in a draw at 2 wins each (320-210). However, it was defending champion SABB that ruled the match with a staggering 110 extra bonus points when it scored 984 and 976 during the third and fourth games.

Saudi bowler Fahad Al Heza took center stage as he collared his first Bowler of the Week award with a record to beat series of 848 (235, 178, 207 and 228). He was assisted by team captain Al Qarquosh and Jaffer Al Kathiri who tallied 793 and 781 respectively while Arnold Jesena, Sam Alinsod, Francis Guron and Luis Bonguit rolled 372, 348, 328 and 311.

Saudi Hollandi Bank’s five-man team managed to grab the second and third games thanks to outstanding performances by southpaw Rodel Yap (779), Jil Hembra (776), Gerry Ayonon (755) Arnel Bernabe (720) and Cholo Nieto (624).

The match between Alinma Bank and Banque Saudi Fransi-CBG ended in a draw at 160 points each. BSF-CBD took the first two games behind the efforts of Art Bumatay (768), Guilbert Mesias (728), captain Ken Hechanova (715) and Alfred Estrada (701). They were assisted by Andy Illanza who rolled 467 and Ricky Dominguez 167.

Alinma foursome of Obet Mata, Jerry Barce, Willie Bondoc and Gelo Train shot 775, 734, 732 and 730 respectively to get even with their opponent. Jojo de Silva rolled 485 while Lito Tolentino added 169.

The third match to end in a draw was between Saudi Investment Bank and Banque Saudi Fransi 180-160. However, it was SAIB, captained by Dong Calub, that edged its opponent by 20 bonus points during the fourth game. The trio of Mike Benito, captain Dong Calub and Edwin Fontiveros tallied four-game series of 765, 712 and 691. They were assisted by Siraj Zakaria and Julius Queypo who rolled 471 and 461 while Joey Salem had 336.

BSF matched SAIB’s win points behind the contributions of Edwin Timango, Jerry Villanueva, captain Jun Bantug, Joseph Adao and Ric Camara who tallied 737, 717, 716, 679 and 652.

The fourth match saw SAMA-Abana thrash PNB Unified team 180-50. Scorers at SAMA-Abana were Jun Bolocboloc (774), captain Teody Zulaybar (715), Koko Torres (700), Clem Guelas (660), Bernie Torres (516) and Ranier Torres (133).

PNB’s top performer James Frizzle was at his best form as he burned the lanes with 737 series followed by Mixi Lechuga (701), Tenz Taeza (699), Sonny Alviso (638) and Patrick Alviso (586).
