JEDDAH, 17 January — Saudia Arabian Airline’s most recent Internet link to WorldTracer services provides passengers with the option of accessing information regarding their mishandled luggage 24 hours a day seven days a week.
“At the click of a mouse Saudia passengers can now track the progress of their missing baggage claim at their own convenience -- at home or elsewhere -- by simply entering their file reference,” Hussain Gumari, senior manager, system baggage services development at Saudia, said.
The information exchange service also allows passengers, who may be exhausted after a long flight, to revise their report at a later date. Hussain explained: “Upon revision passenger wishing to make corrections can simply do so. This easy to use system makes for a more accurate match and increases the chances of locating baggage in as short a time as possible.”
Hussain said that Saudia’s current aim was to raise customer awareness of the Internet site through brochures and the media.
