RIYADH, 9 August — Interior Minister Prince Naif has approved punishments proposed by the committee for combating commercial fraud. The punishments include fines of more than SR600,000, the cancellation of commercial registrations and licenses, the closure of shops and businesses and the deportation of expatriate workers. Commerce Minister Osama Faqeeh said the names of expatriates involved in such cases would be listed among those banned from entering the Kingdom. The ministry reiterated its determination to fight fraud by intensifying the committee’s activities in various parts of the country.
