RIYADH, 10 August — Mosque authorities in the Kingdom have started to install a special system which will automatically disconnect mobile phone services when people holding the phone enter a mosque. The measure was taken to avoid disturbing worshippers when the phones ring during prayer time. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Qadi, professor of communications at King Saud University, told Arab News that the new system would not cause harm either to the public or the mobile phones themselves.
