Many people are puzzled by America’s blind love for Jews and Israel. They always wonder what the secret of it is. Is it true love or love motivated by self-interest?
Some say it is true love because the religious and cultural background and reference point of both America and Israel is one and the same. Others say that it is not real love springing from the heart, but one artificially created by Jews in America’s collective mind through decades of brainwashing.
Many others reject both the theories and say that it is A feigned love. Most Americans, they say, have to pretend love for Jews because they are afraid of, and even terrified by, the influence the community has on their nation’s political, financial, intellectual and media institutions. They also affirm that, in their hearts, most Americans hate Jews but cannot show such sentiments.
However, many others reject the notion of love itself — real, manufactured or feigned. They say that the relationship has nothing to do with love. All that is there is that America - in the sense of its movers and shakers, be it in political, economic or media fields — believes that it is in its interest to maintain a policy of total support for Israel. In fact, the very creation of Israel in the heart of the Arab and Islamic world was in pursuit of a Western policy aimed at serving America’s expansionist policy.
So, it is a matter of “interests”, not of love or passion.
Perhaps America’s “ardor” for Jews is best exemplified by its former, and unlamented, president, Bill Clinton. If they had the power to change the US constitution, the Jews would have amended that document to elect Clinton as president for life. They had every reason to do that. No US president had been such a servant of the Jews as Bill Clinton was. His term is considered by the Jews as the best time for them, as clearly stated by a number of Jewish leaders. What is more, Clinton was not satisfied with serving the Jews while serving the mightiest nation in the world as its president; he continues to serve them after leaving the White House.
The other day, there were reports that Clinton’s present income is more than his earnings in the eight years he spent in the White House. The income is from the lectures he has been delivering at various places. Some attribute his success in the lecture circuit to his handsomeness, eloquence and charisma. There may be some truth to that. However, the real reason, many others say, is that he has proved himself an excellent salesman. After he left the White House, he gave three lectures in the UK, the entire proceeds of which went to Jewish charities. That smart move opened for him the doors of Jewish organizations to speak, for hefty fees, on “the Jewish question”.
Then, what do we call Clinton’s love for Jews? True, manufactured, or feigned?
