RIYADH, 12 August — Saudi Arabia and Japan are considering to boost cooperation in setting up medium- and small-scale ventures using Japanese technology, according to Osama Kurdi, secretary-general of the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry. He said a meeting was held recently between Saudi and Japanese officials to get acquainted with the best means to develop medium- and small-scale projects in the country. Kurdi said the council was keen to cooperate with the industrial countries and benefit from their expertise to beef up the small-scale industries, which represent 90 percent of the total projects in the Kingdom. Japan is the second largest investor in Saudi Arabia after the United States. (KUNA)
