KUWAIT, 25 August — Kuwaiti security officers investigating Majed Al-Shammary, a Saudi arrested in the emirate for carrying a fake passport, said they have received a great deal of information about his connections, Al-Watan reported yesterday. The paper said there were rumors that Shammary had links with the Abu Sayyaf extremist group in the Philippines. Reports also indicate that prosecutors in Kuwait have demanded the extradition of Essam Al-Masaary, whose passport was used by Shammary to enter the emirate.
