RIYADH, 27 August — The Commerce Ministry has cautioned meat importers to strictly abide by the rules and regulations related to meat imports following reports of the new outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease among British sheep. British authorities have killed 1.3 million sheep to prevent the spread of the disease. In light of these reports, the ministry has urged the importers to supply the Kingdom’s meat requirements from secure and safe areas, avoiding the countries that have been hit by such diseases.
