JEDDAH, 29 August — Ali Hadi Al-Hamdhi, a Saudi, and his wife, a teacher, fell into a deep ditch in a hilly area last week late at night. Civil defense officers saved Hamdhi and his wife after seven hours, after his wife informed the police about the accident using their mobile phone, Al-Bilad reported yesterday. Both were later taken to King Abdul Aziz Hospital in Jeddah as Hamdhi had internal bleeding while his wife sustained injuries to various parts of her body.
