RIYADH, 2 September — A Saudi philanthropist, who requested anonymity, has donated $6 million (SR22.5 million) to support the Palestinian resistance movement This was announced here yesterday by the Islamic Development Bank. Of the amount, $1 million will be used to expand and equip the medical facilities in Al-Aqsa compound, the bank said, adding that the remaining $5 million will go to Al-Aqsa and Al-Quds funds to help Palestinian university students whose fathers have martyred in the current uprising. The Jeddah-based bank supervises the two funds. (SPA)
