RIYADH, 2 September — An Egyptian in Qalaiwabiya province killed a nine-year-old Saudi boy from Buraidah when the boy’s mother rejected a proposal to marry him, Al-Jazirah daily reported yesterday. The boy’s father, a Saudi, had died a few years ago and his Egyptian mother then returned to her country after 10 years in Saudi Arabia. According to the Arabic daily, the Egyptian proposed to her but she refused saying that she wanted to look after her son. The man later kidnapped the boy and strangled him. The boy’s family in Qasim is demanding death for the killer.
