JEDDAH, 4 October — Haj Minister Iyad Madani received here yesterday Lord Patel, head of the British pilgrims’ committee and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting they discussed topics such as the British pilgrims’ number, their logistics, religious awareness and safety in the upcoming pilgrimage. The two sides agreed that the number of pilgrims should be determined by factors such as the population and the percentage of Muslims of the country’s population in line with a decision of the Organization of the Islamic Conference in 1987.
