RIYADH, 13 October — Authorities in the Saudi capital have flogged 29 young men, including seven expatriates, for harassing girls in shopping areas and outside schools, a newspaper reported yesterday. The men were arrested last week by special squads deployed in markets and at major shopping centers and each given 15 lashes after receiving a first warning, Al-Riyadh daily said. Authorities warned the men that they would be sent to jail if they repeat the offense.
