JEDDAH, 15 October — A meeting of the Council for Health Services Development in the Makkah region, chaired by Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed here yesterday, decided to implement new regulations for medical institutions in the region. They aim at bringing the services up to international standards and will be implemented in a phased manner. They also aim to bring down medical errors to an absolute minimum. An institution has to obtain a quality certificate to make it eligible to offer health services, according to the regulations. (SPA)
