RIYADH, 1 November — Prince Nawaf, chief of general intelligence, received here yesterday the US ambassador-designate to the Kingdom, Robert Jordan. They discussed a number of issues of common concern. Chairman of the Shoura Council Sheikh Muhammad ibn Jubair also received the ambassador-designate at his office yesterday. Commerce Minister Osama Faqeeh also met with the visiting ambassador-designate. The balance of trade between the two countries stood at SR 80.6 billion in 2000. There are currently 283 Saudi-US joint projects with investments worth SR65.2 billion.
