JEDDAH, 7 November — An anthrax scare has led to the closure of a post office in Madaya in the Jizan region after a white powder was found in an unusually heavy envelope, Okaz newspaper reported yesterday. The letter had been sent from Dubai to a Saudi citizen. Civil Defense officials were immediately notified and the building was evacuated. The postal workers were sent for a routine checkup, the paper said.
