JEDDAH, 16 November — A man in Jabal Jahaisha district of Makkah on Tuesday killed his 24-year-old friend who attempted to rape his wife while intoxicated, the Okaz newspaper reported yesterday. The man had hosted a dinner for his three young friends. They all got drunk, and one of them entered his host’s bedroom and started harassing his wife. In the ensuing fight, the host drew out a knife and stabbed the youth to death. The man left the dead body in a nearby trash can. It was discovered the following morning and police arrested the murderer, the paper said.
