RAFHA, 22 November — A citizen from Rafha has lodged a complaint with the Health Ministry against a private clinic that he alleges has left him paralyzed after treatment for back pain.
Jazae Al-Dhefairy, 27, told Arab News that the specialist at the clinic conducted a preliminary check and gave him an injection in the spine.
He added that after receiving the injection his whole body began to shake and this was followed by intense sweating and vomiting.
“On the second day I sensed there was diminished pain in my shoulders and my right leg had become completely paralyzed. “I was unable to stand up or walk properly,” Dhefairy wrote in his complaint to the ministry.
The doctor at the center of the controversy has labeled the allegation baseless. He explained that he had provided the man treatment for back pain after an initial diagnosis and said the accused had simply failed to return to the clinic.
