RIYADH, 11 December — The Ministry of Commerce has decided to extend a ban on soy sauce and products containing soy sauce imported from the Philippines, Thailand, China, Malaysia and Japan. On the other hand, the ministry decided to lift the ban on soy sauce and other soy products imported from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Indonesia on condition that the products fulfill the Kingdom’s standard specifications. The products should also accompany an official certificate to this effect, according to a ministry statement yesterday. (SPA)
