RIYADH, 18 December — Nasir ibn Hamad Al-Rashid, a member of the Council of Senior Ulema, died yesterday at the age of 85, according to a statement from the Royal Court. Funeral prayers will be held today at Imam Turki ibn Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh after Dhuhr prayers. Al-Rashid, served as a senior judge in Makkah and Abha regions before he was assigned as the head of the Presidency of Girls’ Education. Later he was appointed as the chief of the Presidency of the Holy Mosques Affairs. He had also served as the president of the Court of Grievances. (SPA)
