RIYADH, 17 January — The Passports Department yesterday issued a stern warning to visitors and Umrah pilgrims to leave the country before the expiry of their visas. A statement issued by the department said violators of the residence and visa regulations will face fines of up to SR100,000 or six months in jail, or both. Sheltering and transporting violators of the residence regulations will also entail penal action, it said. (SPA)
