AHSA, 19 January — An old woman died in the Eastern city of Hofuf recently after falling in a deep pit near a newly constructed house. The woman was rushed to hospital by a passerby but she died on the way, Al-Jazirah daily reported yesterday. The Arabic daily said the woman had gone out to visit a relative. Meanwhile, Civil Defense officers in Jizan yesterday rescued a Saudi from drowning while crossing a flooded valley with a herd of camels.
