THOUGH Israel has managed to destroy the structure that housed the Voice of Palestine radio station, it has failed to destroy our faith in our just cause. As Palestine is an Arab country, Palestine will remain Arab forever and the occupation will come to an end through a peace process or an endless war. The destruction of the Palestinian radio station and its equipment in the fire was accomplished but still the Voice of Palestine will not cease and will continue to be heard by the world.

Eight million Palestinians in addition to 250 million Arabs and one billion Muslims are the Voice of Palestine. The Israelis as well as Israel’s weapons supplier and peacebroker, the Untied States of America, must understand this fact. I feel sorry for those who believe that the bombing of the Voice of Palestine radio station is the end of the struggle.

I admit that we allowed the Israelis to cross the red lines, to ignore the just cause of the Palestinians and further gave them the green light to violate our dignity and sanctuaries. I, therefore, support the idea that whatever is taken by force will return only by force. Israel, in fact, occupied Palestine by force. It is true also that Israel was not — and is not alone — in the crime of occupying Palestine. The superpowers played — and are playing — a great role in the continuation of Israel’s atrocities. Despite the occupation of Palestine, displacement of its people, the camps and the Palestinian diaspora, the revolution has never ceased and will never cease. Blood draws blood, period.

Israel’s ignoring of the international community, the resolutions of the Security Council and the United Nations, the massacres of Deir Yassin, Sabra and Shatila and Qana were due to our passive behavior. We further gave Israel the opportunity to present itself to the world as a peacemaker. This was when the Nobel Prize was granted to an Israeli criminal.

Nowadays, the father of the Palestinian revolution, Yasser Arafat, is under siege. The world community is observing Israel’s air raids on the Palestinian cities, airports, seaports and ships and Arafat being held at the point of gun. Even those countries that stood with the Palestinian cause have ceased bothering to condemn Israel’s atrocities.

Israel’s motive for destroying the Palestinian radio station was that the Voice of Palestine stirs up public opinion against Israeli policy. This is not true. Israel, in fact, is dedicated to silencing any voice that may attract the world’s attention. Israel doesn’t want the world to know about its violations of international laws and treaties.

Israeli terrorism exists because it is supported by the peacebroker, the United States. The peacebroker frankly stated that the Israeli air raids are self-defense rather than state terrorism. I wonder what the Arabs should expect from the peacebroker if the peacebroker itself is the voice of Israel. Are the Palestinian stone-throwers or those resisting with light machineguns terrorists! If so, what would the US call those who bomb the Palestinian territories and innocent civilians with F-16s and Apache gunships?

It is imperative that the Arab media and TV stations allocate a number of hours daily to the Voice of Palestine. The Arab TV channels — famous for music, dancing or nonsensical programs — must remember their duty to the Palestinian issue. Arab leaders are also required more than ever before to completely boycott Israel until all of Palestine and Jerusalem is free. I hope Arab leaders will listen to this appeal and, if possible, boycott everything American.
