RIYADH, 25 January — Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, held talks with Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa here yesterday. They discussed issues of importance for the Arab and Muslim worlds in addition to the current international situation. According to informed sources, the talks also centered on an Iraqi initiative to bring Baghdad out of international isolation. Moussa traveled to Kuwait on Wednesday to discuss the result of his earlier visit to Baghdad, during which he said President Saddam Hussein had asked him to convey a new Iraqi initiative to the United Nations and Arab leaders. The initiative comes ahead of an Arab summit in Lebanon in March.
