JEDDAH, 30 January — Al-Faisaliah Welfare Society organized a lecture on hygiene and nutrition by Dr. Jameel Al-Qudsi at King Fahd Hospital and Research Center here on Monday.
Speaking before the lecture, Princess Fahda bint Saud, head of Faisaliah Welfare Society in Jeddah, highlighted the importance the Islamic religion gives to scientific research. “Our meeting today reflects the need for activating the research centers by giving necessary financial and manpower support,” she said.
In his lecture, Al-Qudsi, who works at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Al-Qurayat, stressed the importance of the maintaining one’s health. He explained many Islamic instructions on health in light of scientific evidence.
Al-Qudsi said he found the Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) teachings exposed the human body to the best of nature. A large number of people from all over the Kingdom attended the lecture. Al-Qudsi gave the audience tips for leading a natural and healthy life.
Al-Qudsi, who is known for using both conventional and alternative methods, said he had a 50 percent success rate in completely curing his patients through his Islamic approach to medicine.
