DHAHRAN, 30 January — Saudi Aramco will sponsor a seminar on tuberculosis in Dhahran on March 25 to 27 in a bid to enlighten the public on the deadly disease, which is spreading at an alarming rate. According to statistics, one person contracts the disease every second and one dies every 10 seconds of it around the world. Some 30 million people are feared to die in the next 10 years of TB. A third of the world’s population is infected with TB while 8 million develop active TB every year.
