JEDDAH, 11 February — The shuttle service for transportation of pilgrims between the holy sites has been expanded to pilgrims from Southeast Asia for the first time this year, according to Haj Minister Iyad Madani. The service, which was hitherto available for pilgrims from Turkey, Europe, America and Australia, was instrumental in transporting pilgrims in record time. He said the service will cost SR100 million, adding that Communications Minister Dr. Naser Al-Salloum has sanctioned the amount.
